Organization

The Association is composed of the head office, division and branch offices, and is operated in close cooperation with each other.

Head Office

The Head Office is in charge of overall administration of whole JABIA.
Among chief responsibilities of the head office are to promote buisiness plans in accordance with the decisions made at the General Assembly and also to respond to relevant governmental bodies such as Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. It also provides support for small- and medium-size companies, tackles with technical and environmental problems, and serves as an administration office for 8 divisions such as special vehicle division and custom build vehicle division.

Committee

For important issues and cross-cutting issues, we have established a committee organization composed of representatives from each division. Five committees have been set up, such as central technology, the environment, central operations, and public relations, and subcommittees and working groups have been established under the umbrella as needed.

Division

The Auto-Body Industries Association handles a wide variety of models, and the issues often differ for each model.Therefore, we have established 8 divisions for each type of special vehicle,custom build vehicle,trucks, vans, trailers, buses, small vehicles, and materials. Each divisions conducts study meetings, training sessions, tours, joint development, etc. to improve quality, safety, and productivity, and also reflects opinions in legislation and administration.

Branch

In order to deal with issues unique to each region in Japan on a regional basis, we have established 9 branches in Hokkaido, Tohoku, Niigata, Kanto, Chubu, Kinki, Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu. By cooperating with the Head Office, local governments, and related organizations, we contribute to the development of local industries, including activities to eradicate illegally modified vehicles and support for the business of transporting before-registration vehicles.
